Since his draft with the San Francisco 49ers in 2019, star player Nick Bosa proved his caliber by being the team’s focal point in all their wins. The player is entering his fifth season with the team though uncertainty arose regarding his contract extension deal with the team.
Following a super season, Bosa was expected to have a great gift in respect of monetary value to adorn his efforts. Yet, the front offices’ delay on the matter raised eyebrows among the fans. However, recently the teams’ general manager John Lynch provided great confidence in his deal.
49ers GM John Lynch gives “update” on Nick Bosa’s contract
Nick missed every 49ers training session last week, which caused a lot of concern among the supporters. Indefinite uncertainty surrounds the 49ers’ defensive line as the 2022 defensive player of the year is delaying reporting until he receives a well-deserved contract extension.
The GM, on the other hand, showed no interest in concluding a contract. John stated his faith in the success of the transaction while only disclosing that his new contract with the team is still being negotiated.
“I’m very confident in that and we’re just going to have to have that right mix of urgency and patience. And again, I remain confident that we will come to an agreement and get things taken care of so we can have one of our best players.

Keeping all the stuff regarding the deal in secret, Lynch labeled Bosa as one of the best teammates and hoped to have him in the training session soon.
“One of the best teammates, this is the guy that addresses our team every Saturday and just gives his wisdom. We miss him and looking forward to the day he’s coming back.”
49ers fan reacts to Nick Bosa contract update by John Lynch
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his rookie deal, which sets him up to earn over $18 million on the fifth-year option in the 2023 campaign.
By agreeing to a long-term contract, the 49ers may reduce his cap number, but their lack of response infuriated the supporters. They urged that a deal be completed as soon as feasible from the 49ers front office. As a result, one fan demanded, “Pay the man,” and another pressed for a contract extension, “Get the job done, John.”

Although the regular season is quickly approaching and Bosa is anticipated to sign a record-breaking contract in recognition of his position and success, Lynch appears to be stress-free and is keeping everything under wraps.
They had all offseason to get this done smh

Bosa has previously stated that his goal is not to be the highest-paid defensive player in the NBA. Therefore, the front offices’ actions generate questions regarding why they continue to be negligent in awarding him a contract extension.
