6 years after earning $130 million from playing “ping pong”, Conor McGregor devises grand payday plan involving Floyd Mayweather

Six years after their iconic boxing clash, Conor McGregor’s recent social media post might have reignited tensions with Floyd Mayweather, as McGregor appears to be eager for a rematch to avenge his loss.

The much-talked-about showdown between McGregor and Mayweather garnered substantial attention in the boxing realm. Despite it being McGregor’s sole professional boxing match, he has never dismissed the idea of making a comeback in the ring.

Conor McGregor trash-talks Mayweather in recent tweet

With McGregor’s recent exchange of words with Jake Paul, the idea of his return to boxing gains further credibility. Amidst their online feud, McGregor seized the opportunity to refresh everyone’s memory about his legendary boxing bout against Money Mayweather.

“Don’t forget, I played ping pong with Floyd’s head. I carried him! B4, it was just ping pong, this time it’s ping pong and babe Ruth with a baseball bat. KO incoming.” Conor said.

The Irish UFC sensation has intensified the anticipation by revealing that, in a potential rematch against the undefeated boxing icon, he intends to employ his signature attacking approach, complemented by an even more potent array of power shots, to secure victory over Floyd.

McGregor openly declared intention for “inevitable rematch”

Despite his positive rapport with Mike Tyson, McGregor experienced a twist in their relationship when Tyson extended his support to Mayweather during their boxing match. Mike’s astonishment stemmed from the fact that McGregor, an MMA fighter, was entering the boxing realm to take on Floyd.

“Can the boxer beat the MMA guy? [McGregor] put his dumb ass in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby. [McGregor] can’t kick and grab and stuff. He’s not going to stand much of a chance.” Mike said.

This unexpected turn caused Tyson to express his frustration, as he believed that combining MMA rules with boxing went against the essence of the sport. Ultimately, the outcome aligned with Mike Tyson’s prediction, with Floyd successfully delivering a knockout blow to the MMA superstar.

Three years down the line, McGregor took to Twitter, vowing to one day prove Mike’s skepticism wrong by emerging victorious against Floyd in a rematch.

“Thank you Mike, and just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle, and I will beat Floyd.I promise my life on it.” Conor said.

The 2017 boxing bout between The Notorious and Pretty Boy shattered all prior financial records in terms of revenue. The event garnered enormous sales, ranking as the second highest in pay-per-view history.

Beyond its financial success, Floyd and Conor’s bout managed to captivate a broad audience, drawing significant attention to the sport of boxing.
