With a couple of days until the Annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view, fans are eagerly excited for the main event, the 30 Men and Women Royal Rumble match. This year’s rumble match has become one of the biggest and unpredictable Royal Rumble matches of all time.
All the 30 superstars will look forward to win the match to grab the opportunity to main event WrestleMania 40. In a backstage interview after this week’s RAW episode, the WWE superstars expressed their favorite entry spot for the Royal Rumble match.
Rhea Ripley, Dominik disclose their favored Royal Rumble entry number
Today, WWE released a video of WWE superstars mentioning their favorite spot for entering the Royal Rumble match. The Judgement Day’s love birds Domink Mysterio and the WWE Women Champion Rhea Ripley revealed their favorite entry number for the Royal Rumble match.
Dominik said, “It is 30. What kind of stupid question is that. Why I would I wanna go at number 1 so I can 29 other guys try to take me out.” Dominik said that he would prefer entering the match at 30th position and win the match easily.
Dominik’s on screen partner’s favorite spot looked completely opposite to him. Ripley said, ” Number 1. Been there done that. I won the 2023 rumble match at number 1 and Mami is always on the top of WWE”.
Ripley became the first woman to win the Royal Rumble match by entering as number 1 entrant. She made history by winning the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match and also set a record for the longest time spent in the match at 1:01:08. She eliminated 12 other competitors, including former champions like Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch.
On the other hand, Dominik has participated in two Royal Rumble matches so far in 2021 and 2023. In 2021, he entered the match at 21 but was eliminated by Bobby Lashley. Last year he entered the match at 18, but was eliminated by AJ Styles after being in the ring for 20 minutes.
CM Punk wants number 30 entry spot in Royal Rumble
CM Punk, being the top favorite to win the 30 Men Royal Rumble match has revealed his entry spot for the Rumble match. Punk said, “There are many different schools of thought to this. Obviously, strategically, you want to be number 30. I feel like a lot of professional wrestlers want to be number one to prove that they can be the Iron Man, and also win at the same time. Me, being how old I am now, give me number 30.”
Likewise of majority WWE Superstars, Punk also disclosed number 30 as his favorite spot for entering the Rumble match. He has experience in entering the Rumble Match in both first and last spot.
Punk was the last entrant in the 2011 Royal Rumble match. He was expected to win the match but was eliminated by John Cena in less than four minutes. In 2014, Punk entered the match at number 1 position and eliminated 3 superstars. Punk got close to win the match, but Kane made an interference and eliminated him.
Since his return to WWE, Punk is on a goal to win the 2024 Royal Rumble match and headline WrestleMania 40. This year marks Punk’s fifth Royal Rumble appearance and he is set to emerge victorious by outlasting 29 other WWE superstars.
