During a pre-fight Q&A session leading up to this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event in London, Paddy Pimblett was questioned about his views on Ilia Topuria, the widely praised featherweight contender.
“Lad, he couldn’t finish someone who’s gonna retire soon? You’re messing, aren’t ya? Josh Emmett is like 39, ain’t he? If yous think that was a great performance, then yeah, but I could finish Josh Emmett in my sleep.” Paddy said.
Presently on a four-fight winning streak, the British fighter is currently recovering from an injury, and there is uncertainty about his next fight. In his UFC career, he remains ‘unbeaten’, achieving a controversial record of four wins in four bouts.
“He’s not even ranked…What he got, like Instagram followers? YouTube followers? If I want to fight someone popular, yeah. There are a lot of people who are more popular than him. I don’t care about that kid.” Paddy added.
In his career so far, ‘The Baddy’ secured victories against Jordan Leavitt, Kazula Vargas, and Luigi Vendramini, all of whom are notable opponents, showcasing his skills as the former Cage Warriors featherweight champion. Paddy Pimblett hilariously answers “weird” fans’ NSFW question
During the Q&A session, a UFC fan posed a personal and strange question to Pimblett, inquiring about his relationship with Molly. Pimblett responded with wit, asking the questioner if they were aware that Molly is a lesbian.
Paddy’s clever response diffused the tricky situation and brought laughter to pretty much everyone present at the conference. Molly McCann is scheduled to fight Julija Stoliarenko tonight in the UFC Fight Night.
Pimblett often describes Molly as one of his best friends and the two have celebrated their victories together on many occasions. Considering how Paddy’s wife is almost never present around the Octagon, some fans have probably grown confused about his relationship with McCann.
