NFL community disagrees with Tyreek Hill’s bold Super Bowl LVIII prediction: “Not in the script”

Following a promising regular season that saw the Miami Dolphins clinch an impressive 11-6 record, Tyreek Hill’s hopes for a Super Bowl victory were shattered in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Despite having previously tasted Super Bowl success with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020, Hill remained confident in the talent of the 2023 Dolphins, only to have his aspirations dashed by his former team this time around.

Despite expressing dissatisfaction with the Chiefs in the past, Tyreek Hill’s tone shifted after experiencing defeat at their hands. However, this change in stance did not sit well with football fans, who were dissatisfied with his predictions for the final contenders in Super Bowl LVIII.

Tyreek Hill drops bold prediction on SB LVIII

Tyreek Hill, despite being traded from the Chiefs, continues to express deep affection for the Kansas City team. It was evident in his recent social media post. 

In a post captioned “chiefs and lions Super Bowl, argue with a wall,” the former Chiefs’ receiver solidified his support for his former team. 

This isn’t the first instance of Hill backing the Chiefs, as Heavy.com reports that, before the controversial post, he predicted on TikTok Live that the Chiefs would defeat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship. He also expressed his desire for the Lions to advance to Super Bowl LVIII.

The AFC Championship game between the Ravens and the Chiefs is expected to be a closely contested match. The Ravens are coming off a convincing 34-10 victory over the Houston Texans. The dominance of the Ravens this season, led by presumptive league MVP Lamar Jackson, who excels both with his arm and legs, cannot be overstated.

However, the Chiefs are coming off a close 24-21 victory over the Buffalo Bills. The KC team, particularly behind quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, possesses the capability to thwart the formidable Jackson-led Ravens.

The key for the Chiefs will be to establish dominance early in the game. Mahomes, with an outstanding 13-3 playoff record as a starter, has proven his prowess. His only two losses were to Tom Brady and one to Joe Burrow and the Bengals in a high-scoring matchup. None of them are now in the playoffs to create barriers for him.

Fans disagree with Tyreek Hill’s SB LVIII forecast

Not all netizens welcomed Tyreek Hill’s endorsement of the Chiefs. Some opponent fans began to provide a cryptic and humorous reply directed at the Dolphins’ player.

“ravens and Lions Super Bowl, arguing with a wall,” one fan wrote in the comment box of his post to throw a subtle dig at his word selection for the post.

While Hill has been rooting for the Chiefs and Lions, most of the fans in his post clearly stated their desire and prediction of the Super Bowl final between the Ravens and 49ers.

CTV News, a Canadian public television station, unintentionally stirred controversy by providing a unique description of the upcoming Super Bowl matchup between the 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.

Therefore, one fan criticized Hill, also taking aim at the NFL, expressing surprise that Hill did not adhere to the expected script.

The NFL Conference Championship between the Ravens vs Chiefs game and the 49ers vs Lions will be held on January 28.
