Jaguars CB Chris Claybrooks arrested again just days after his birthday for domestic battery and false imprisonment

For pretty much any athlete in any discipline of sports, discipline is often considered a must. There have been many talented stars who have fallen from grace for their failure to hold their act together on and off the sport. Jaguars CB Chris Claybrooks could be the latest addition to this list.

Within just three NFL seasons, Claybrooks has now been subjected to domestic assault and false imprisonment for the second time. While the incident is quite unfortunate for the victim, it seems to be a continuation of the numerous instances of NFL players who have been caught committing various crimes in recent times.

Chris Claybrooks arrested again for domestic assault and false imprisonment

Several reports state that the Jaguars player was detained on Friday in Jacksonville after being charged with domestic assault and false imprisonment. The 25-year-old is scheduled to appear in court in Duval County on Saturday at 9 a.m., but the specifics of the case have not yet been made public.

In the middle of April, Claybrooks was charged with his first misdemeanor after it was alleged that he took a woman’s cell phone from her hand and damaged it by tossing it to the ground. Later, he was detained in Nashville on April 15. However, Chris was not charged for the earlier incident, instead, the charges were dismissed.

Disappointed NFL fans want Chris Claybrooks fired from the Jaguars

Soon after his arrest, a Jaguars spokesperson released a statement mentioning how the team was aware of his charge and was investigating the case, “We are aware of the arrest of Chris Claybrooks and are currently in the process of gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Since his draft, the Jaguars player has appeared in 48 games with the Jaguars, whatever, already the fans of the team seem to have become quite bothered with Claybrooks and are expressing their disinterest in seeing him on the team roster.

“Once again loosing claybrooks doesn’t affect this team he contributes to nothing on a football field,” one fan retorted.

Within just four months, it is his back-to-back case that demonstrates how insincere he probably is regarding legal obligations to the league. Hence, it came as an utter surprise to some of the netizens too.

“Again didn’t bro learn his lesson the first time?”

The cornerback is already being considered a waste of money and time for many Jaguars fans who see little ray of hope for the player,

“Isn’t this his second arrest for domestic battery in less than 4 months? I’m hoping @Jaguars cut him. That kind of energy and character in the locker room isn’t worth whatever talent he brings.”

The team is ‘reportedly’ on board to investigate his case and take disciplinary action. It remains to be seen if the expectations of the fans, at last, come into reality.
