Brock Lesnar did not participate in the Royal Rumble 2024 PLE, and now it appears that WWE has canceled even more plans for the WWE superstar. The reason for Lesnar’s absence from the Royal Rumble is due to his alleged involvement in a lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon.
Although Lesnar is not directly involved in the lawsuit, several news outlets have claimed that he had interactions with Janel Grant, the plaintiff in the case. It is further alleged that Vince used Grant as leverage in contract negotiations with Lesnar, leading to the lawsuit.
Report reveals WWE’s nixed plans for Brock Lesnar’s next feud
Brock Lesnar’s WWE comeback plans might be altered due to his potential involvement in the sexual trafficking accusations against Vince McMahon brought by Janel Grant, a former WWE employee. Initially, Brock Lesnar was supposed to make his comeback at the Royal Rumble 2024 event.
According to the report, WWE was attempting to sign a new contract with a world-renowned former UFC Heavyweight Champion fighter. The athlete in question is believed to be Brock Lesnar, although his name is not directly mentioned in the lawsuit. “The Wall Street Journal” report on the lawsuit confirms that Lesnar is the athlete in question.
It was recently announced that Brock Lesnar would not be participating in the Royal Rumble match, and NXT star Bron Breakker took his place. Breakker’s performance was well-received, as he executed all the planned moves originally intended for Lesnar. Moreover, it has been reported that Lesnar’s planned appearance at the Elimination Chamber event has also been cancelled.
According to a report from “POST Wrestling,” a source with knowledge of the upcoming creative plans stated that Brock Lesnar initially planned to face Dominik Mysterio at the Elimination Chamber event on February 24, 2024, in Perth, Western Australia. However, another source confirmed that although the plans were made, they were ultimately scrapped.
It appears that Bron Breakker is set to take Brock Lesnar’s place in the Elimination Chamber since he competed in the Royal Rumble as a replacement for Lesnar and was eliminated by Dominik Mysterio. However, it is still unclear whether Mysterio was supposed to be the one who might have eliminated Lesnar in the Rumble match or not.
Brock Lesnar’s WWE career is under threat
Brock Lesnar has not appeared on WWE television since the SummerSlam 2023 Premium Live Event, where he faced off against Cody Rhodes. However, his return may not be the biggest news for him now, as he has been implicated in a new lawsuit involving Vince McMahon, who has been accused of sexual trafficking.
It was reported that Vince McMahon has been accused of sexual trafficking and several other allegations by Janel Grant. In the lawsuit, Grant alleged that Vince shared explicit photos of her without her permission. She also mentioned that McMahon asked her to get involved in sexual activities with both employees and stars.
The “Wall Street Journal” reported that there was a lawsuit claiming that McMahon directed Janel to produce customized sexual content for a WWE star who is also known as both a UFC fighter and a WWE talent in July 2021. Although the individual was not named in the suit, he was identified as Brock Lesnar. However, there is no certainty that it might be The Beast Incarnate or any other superstar. If the offender turns out to be Lesnar, then his WWE career will be as good as over.
