Since his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns, K’Waun Williams was subjected to injury missing a majority of his rookie season due to bone spurs. After boarding his boat in Denver, the cornerback was projected for a good bounce back, conquering all the physical difficulties.
Unfortunately, after only one season with the Broncos, he was once more hindered by an injury. His ability to play during the regular season is now in doubt due to an injury, putting the Broncos team’s cornerback group in doubt.
Broncos CB K’Waun Williams reportedly underwent ankle surgery
K’Waun Wiliams was slated to undergo surgery on his left ankle on Monday in North Carolina after missing a substantial portion of training camp and the Broncos’ three preseason games due to a knee issue. According to reports, he would be put on either the short-term injured reserve, which could keep him out for six to eight weeks, or the season-ending injured reserve.

The Broncos granted him the chance to participate in the team’s training camp because they are eager for him to be available this season. The team’s head coach Sean Payton later noted that the cornerback had a wonderful camp after it had concluded and expressed the Broncos’ faith in their one-season veteran player.
“He’s had a good camp. He’s got good ball skills. You see his speed, and he’s got really good range. I think he plays well deep and some guys have trouble with the ball deep, but he’s someone that I think is very comfortable going from low to high, and vice versa.”
The 32-year-old participated in 14 games last season and finished with 44 tackles, a sack, and an interception.
What is K’Waun Williams’ contract with the Broncos? Explained
With a $750,000 signing bonus, Williams agreed to a two-year, $5,200,000 deal with the Denver Broncos prior to the 2022 season, as per Sportac. His contracts with the Broncos guarantee a total of $2,500,000. The cornerback will have a base salary of $2,090,000 in 2023 with an average yearly income of $2,600,000.
