The Rock shocked WWE fans worldwide when he made his grand entrance at the recent edition of SmackDown and was announced as Roman Reigns’s opponent on WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson robbed Cody Rhodes’s place as The Big Dog’s opponent at WM 40, fans were outraged by the decision. Recently the Brahma Bull became the top merch seller in WWEShop and this rubbed Cody Rhodes fans the wrong way, as some claim that Rock is buying his merch with his own money.

The Rock is one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE and fans love him for his charisma as well as his wrestling skills. So ‘The Great One’ becoming the top seller is no great surprise. Not so long ago, he made his legendary comeback in the RAW: Day-1 event. Recently he also joined the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings.

After it was announced that The Rock would face Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania 40 event for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, some fans were thrilled with the news and others were disappointed with this decision. Recently, it was announced that ‘The People’s Champion’ has topped the merch sale this month, which proved that some fans are happy with the return of the ‘Master of Rock Bottom.’

The Rock’s clash with ‘The Tribal Chief’ has angered some fans, given that ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes won this year’s Royal Rumble and was expected to conclude his storyline with Roman Reigns following last year’s defeat at WrestleMania 39.

Some fans are sharing their view on this matter and believe that the report about Johnson’s merchandise is not authentic. One fan commented that ‘The Great One’ was probably buying his merch himself and showing fake records.

One fan even said that Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, who is the chief content officer at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), is buying all Rock merchandise, as The Rock is more powerful authority-wise than “The Cerebral Assassin”. He said, “HHH buying all merchandise.”

Another fan commented, that he might be a top merch seller, but that does not mean that he should discredit Cody Rhodes’s win and steal his opportunity to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The comment read, “He can be the top merchandise seller, doesn’t mean he has to steal someone else’s thunder.”

Although The Rock is one of the top superstars of WWE, this time fans are not taking things without justification. The Vince McMahon lawsuit has made fans aware of the dark side of WWE and some are even claiming that The Rock forced Cody to forfeit his match with Reigns and give that opportunity to himself for his own benefit.
