A piece of sports history is hitting the market as Rick Harrison and the ‘Pawn Stars’ crew put a Super Bowl ring from the 2007 New York Giants staff up for sale. The famed pawn shop has listed the ring at a hefty price tag of $77,500, according to TMZ.
This particular Super Bowl ring hails from the New York Giants’ remarkable victory in 2008. The season saw them defy the odds by defeating the New England Patriots, who were favored to win with their undefeated record. The Giants secured the title with a thrilling 17-14 upset and prevented Tom Brady’s squad from achieving an undefeated season. Now, a piece of that memorable triumph is up for grabs at the famed pawn shop.
The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is also offering a Super Bowl ring from the 2021 Los Angeles Rams, priced at a more affordable $20,000. Harrison attributes the difference in price to historical significance and fan base size. He said that the Giants’ Super Bowl rings historically fetch higher prices than those of the Rams. Both of these Super Bowl rings are from staffers of the respective teams.
Tom Brady’s record in Super Bowl
Tom Brady’s illustrious career in the NFL is punctuated by an unprecedented 10 appearances in the Super Bowl. He secured victory in seven out of the ten Super Bowls he contested throughout his 23-season career in the league.
