Bellingham has been on a scoring streak since he started playing for his new club, and he has certainly made himself at home. His exploits have helped Real Madrid a lot so far, and there is even talk that he could win the Ballon d’Or at this rate.

Jude Bellingham proved to be decisive once again as Real Madrid ran out 4-0 over title challengers Girona. Having defeated their only La Liga title rivals, it seems that the Spanish giants are one step closer to winning the trophy. Bellingham scored a brace in the game, and this only added to his brilliant scoring streak since arriving at the club in the summer.
And his goals yesterday also helped him cement his status at the club, as he has joined an exclusive group of Real Madrid legends. His first goal yesterday was his 15th in La Liga so far. This means that he is one of many legends to score at least 15 goals in their debut La Liga season. The other players on the exclusive list are soccer legends such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo Nazario, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Gareth Bale. Jude also shares something else with Bale in a different aspect.

Bellingham has definitely found himself in esteemed company, as all of the other superstars have gone on to create history at the club. They are all fondly remembered by the club as all-time legends, and it seems the 20-year-old is on his way to join them on that list as well.
Bellingham favorite to win 2024 Ballon d’Or
Jude Bellingham was already touted to be a superstar, but no one expected such a brilliant season in his debut year. He has already scored 20 goals across all competitions this season, 16 in La Liga, where they are on top with 5 points from the nearest contender, Girona. The rest of the four were in the Champions League group stage, where they topped the group, winning all their games. He has been the club’s top scorer so far this season, despite being a midfielder.
Furthermore, they have already won the Spanish Super Cup this season, and it looks like Madrid are going to win some more this season. Bellingham has certainly played a major role in it, and no doubt he has been their best player. Therefore, it is no surprise that he is the frontrunner to win the next Ballon d’Or award. Already, he has won the Golden Boy Award, and he could seriously be the new winner of the award.

While Bellingham is deserving of the award, the fact that other competitors are struggling is definitely a boost. Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane are all brilliant this season, but their team success is not reflecting that yet. This could change anytime soon if their teams start performing great again. Bellingham could have competition from teammate Vinicius Jr. as well, as the Brazilian has been great recently.
While the tides can change anytime soon for any of these players, if Jude Bellingham continues to play this way, there is no doubt that he will remain the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or.
