There have been controversies around Kylian Mbappe’s future all summer. Initially, it was not certain PSG could keep the Frenchman, but he made a sudden U-turn when he signed a contract extension at the club amid speculations of Real Madrid’s interest.
Now, Mbappe has hinted at a possible agreement of some sort in a cryptic Instagram post. PSG wants to keep the player, except if the right offer comes. Real Madrid had earlier stated that their summer transfer window is now shut. Is Kylian Mbapee trying to pass a contrary message?
Guti suggests Haaland as an alternative to Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe has been linked to Real Madrid for quite some time now; however, he never managed to join them. PSG eventually devised a means to hold him down during every summer window.
Real Madrid legend Guti has also weighed in on the situation via GOAL. He opined that Los Blancos could opt for Haaland if Mbappe remains adamant on joining the club.
“I want Mbappe to play for Real Madrid. Real cannot afford the luxury of closing the door to such a player. But if Mbappe extends his contract with PSG, it will show that he is acting for the money. If that happens, Real Madrid must opt for Erling Haaland.”
Mbappe drops hint of Real Madrid transfer in cryptic post
Real Madrid is always in the mix whenever there is a controversy about Mbappe’s future. Real Madrid had earlier indicated their interest in Mbappe, though they are worried that PSG may not be willing to sell the player. The Spanish giant knows securing the deal would necessitate exceeding €200 million, including various variables. In addition, they are prepared to make an offer to Mbappe for a six-year contract, extending until 2029.
According to ESPN, the club has been engaged in discussions with Mbappe’s representatives for a considerable period. Recent reports in Spain indicated that PSG had assessed Mbappe’s value at €250 million. However, sources have informed ESPN that the Parisian club would be open to considering an offer below that valuation.
Following the controversies on Mbappe’s Valuation, the PSG superstar forward sent a cryptic message on his social media by sharing a song titled, ‘Special’ by singer Dave in collaboration with Tiakola. The song is nothing out of the ordinary, but the first sentence says, “I’m a Top Boy, an expensive signing like Moisés Caicedo in London.”
According to Marca, Mbappe added three emojis that have raised suspicions even more: a bomb, two hands ‘closing an agreement’, and a final flame. As soon as that image was published, social media began to light up with all kinds of comments.
