Charlotte Flair’s injury surprised WWE fans, initially unsure if it was part of the storyline. In December 2023, she underwent surgery following an injury on SmackDown. Displaying signs of recovery at the Royal Rumble, she limped due to recent knee surgery.
In a recent interview, ‘The Queen’ provided an update, revealing a faster-than-expected recovery. Starting therapy just two weeks post-surgery for a ruptured ACL, MCL, and meniscus, she is making remarkable progress and acknowledges being ahead of schedule.
Charlotte Flair provides update on road to recovery
After suffering a devastating injury in a December WWE SmackDown battle, Charlotte Flair has been training hard for the last six weeks. In her effort to escape from Damage CTRL’s Asuka, Flair tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), medial collateral ligament (MCL), and meniscus. Tragically, she fell as her leg slipped and slammed into the rope.
Flair seemed ready to battle IYO SKY for the title with Bianca Belair before her injury. But because of her injuries, plans were revised. Flair, who welcomed the new year with surgery, was seen at Royal Rumble backstage, where she was seen supporting her husband, Andrade.
The fans were sad because the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event and WrestleMania 40 were both missed by ‘The Queen’ because of rehabilitation. Flair may return earlier than anticipated after a previously planned 9-month break.
Just fourteen days after her operation, Flair said in an update that she is back in the gym, and she is working out harder than ever. According to her recent interview with CNBC, Flair feels fantastic and is hell-bent on winning her fifteenth Women’s Championship when she returns to the ring, despite the original nine-month recuperation plan.
The Queen spotted at recent wedding
Many fans were enchanted by the love story of Andrade El Idolo and Charlotte Flair, who started dating in 2019 and were engaged in 2020. Ever since they tied the knot, the happy pair has been a regular sight at wrestling friends’ weddings.
Quite recently, they were present at the wedding of Sonya Deville and Toni Cassano, where they joined Bianca Belair and Montez Ford in celebrating the occasion. Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair are two of the most powerful women in WWE, and their bond is well-known.
Belair has extended her best wishes for a rapid recovery to Flair, who is currently sidelined due to an injury. She acknowledges the significance of Flair to the success of the company and wants to see her return to action as soon as possible.
