Patrick Mahomes vows to set NFL record with Chiefs as three-peat Super Bowl Champions

In spite of Alex Smith’s success in the regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs brought Patrick Mahomes to adorn their legacy with the Lombardi trophy that they last won in 1969, before Mahomes’ era. Nevertheless, Pat not only materialized their Super Bowl dream but also let the Chiefs etch their name history as the back-to-back Super Bowl winners.

While already the Chiefs fans are thrilled with seeing his dominance,  the Chiefs’ hero is determined to let them cheer more for the Chiefs as he turns his attention to the three-peat Super Bowl Champions.

Patrick Mahomes eyes three-peat Super Bowl champ status

Patrick Mahomes has secured his third Super Bowl MVP award after leading the Chiefs to a thrilling victory over the 49ers. However, he remains hungry for more success, as he expressed his desire to pursue an unprecedented three-peat Super Bowl championship.

The Chiefs’ back-to-back victories mark a significant accomplishment, as no NFL team has achieved such a feat since the New England Patriots in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Now, Mahomes and the Chiefs set their sights on making history as the first franchise to three-peat as Super Bowl champions.

“We know we had to go on the road last year, but I promise you next year we’ll be at home. We’re going for that three-peat. Don’t get it twisted, we’re doing it. Three times. First time in NFL history, we’re doing it”, the QB said during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl Parade.

The pursuit of a three-peat is a rare and challenging endeavor in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers achieved a similar feat from 1965 to 1967 but their first title in that stretch predates the Super Bowl era. The Chiefs now find themselves on the cusp of rewriting history. They are armed with a winning formula that revolves around the exceptional talent and leadership of Patrick Mahomes.

The signal-caller is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He consistently delivers standout performances when it matters most. Even in the recent Super Bowl LVIII, Pat moonlighted as a hero by sealing a superb 14-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in overtime to secure the Chiefs’ victory.

Patrick Mahomes claps back at haters during Chiefs Super Bowl parade

Despite entering Super Bowl LVIII as underdogs and facing a 10-0 deficit against the 49ers in the first half, Patrick Mahomes and his team demonstrated an exemplary comeback victory. Consequently, Mahomes believes their performance is sufficient to silence the doubters.

During the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, the three-time Super Bowl winner addressed the skeptics who had doubted them, stating, “They all doubted us. I don’t wanna hear any different.”

In Super Bowl LVIII, Mahomes showcased his exceptional skills, completing 73.9 percent of his passes against the 49ers, amassing 333 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Additionally, he led his team with 66 rushing yards. His outstanding performance earned him his third Super Bowl MVP Award while increasing his salary.

During the Super Bowl, 49ers’ Tashaun Gipson threw a sly jab at Pat on the field, stating, “‘That is just a regular f****ng quarterback bro. Ain’t nothing different, [other teams] just ain’t been catching that s**t.'”

The 28-year-old concluded his parade speech with a taunting remark directed at Gipson for his previous comment.

“He’s regular bro, and we gon’ make his a** look regular,” Mahomes said, per Daily Mail.

The era is now for Mahomes. So, it’s better to keep the mouth shut and let the Chiefs tell their legacy on the field.
