Randy Orton, one of the most multifaceted wrestlers in WWE, has left an incredible mark on the wrestling world. Recently, a viral clip from 2010 showcased Orton boasting about his willingness to RKO even his own grandmother. The footage depicted Randy confronting Sheamus for a title and issuing threats about using his finisher on Sheamus’s family.

A little while back, ‘The Apex Predator’ was trending on social media after a promo from 2010 was shared by WWE fans. In the footage, Randy was seen face-to-face with ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus with whom he was set to fight in Hell In A Cell 2010 for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

During the promo, ‘The Legend Killer’ was seen threatening Sheamus about how important this title is for him and that he would even attack his own grandmother to keep it for himself. He said, “I would RKO my own grandmother if it meant keeping this title. And then I’d RKO your grandmother just to see the look on her face.”

At that time ‘the 8 Packs Predator’ was a new kind of evil, who would eradicate anything and everything that would stand in his way. In 2009, during the Bragging Rights event, Randy was scheduled for an Iron Man match against his long-time rival John Cena.

The 60-minute Iron Man match saw both wrestlers outperforming one another and using every possible way to take the win. At Orton’s fourth pinfall count, he took ‘The Champ’ and threw him through the electronic wall. After this, he started acting insane and used the pyrotechnics on Cena intending to hurt him badly.

In the end, Cena secured the victory by applying his signature submission move to Randy, overcoming the odds. WWE fans have expressed on social media their satisfaction with witnessing a more restrained version of Randy compared to his 2009 form. They acknowledge that the earlier version might have caused chaos even if it contributed slightly to achieving victory.

Randy Orton is scheduled for the Elimination Chamber match at Optus Stadium, in Perth, Australia and fans are eagerly waiting to see ‘The Apex Predator’ in action again as the winner will get to face Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins on WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
