John Cena weighs in on ‘risk-reward’ of steroids, declares to be all-natural WWE wrestler

John Cena, one of the top wrestlers in the wrestling industry, has won the hearts of the WWE Universe with his athleticism, charisma, and mic skills during his two-decade-long tenure as a wrestler. The 16-time world champion has showcased his superior physical might, using his finisher, the Attitude Adjustment, on giants like Big Show and Mark Henry.

Contrary to speculation, Cena recently revealed that he is an all-natural wrestler and has never used any artificial means to achieve his physique.

John Cena discusses the effects of steroid usage

John Cena is one of the most ripped superstars in WWE. Since the time Vince McMahon hired him, he has been trying to give his level best. The Champ’s body-builder-type physique has been an awe-inspiring sight for fans over the years.

A little while back, during an interview with Howard Stern Show, Cena addressed the question of whether he ever used steroids to get this monstrous strength and develop his body. The 46-year-old WWE star said, “The profession calls for it. Yeah, you gotta lift folks and throw them. There’s risk-reward there. You know, if you hit the gas pedal too early, you can get a lot of bad stuff happen long-term.”

John continued explaining how exercising works as meditation for him and how it helps him immensely. “Like you said, I know it’s important. I love it. It’s kind of like my meditation. It’s a place that I have to be present. Or else you’re gonna get hurt. So, in being present and exerting yourself physically, I just feel less stressed when I leave. Like, I don’t worry about anything while I’m in there except what I’m doing. And then I ended up leaving calmer and in a better place. And when I walked in,” Cena added.

John Cena explains the importance of exercise

John Cena has been a fitness freak since he was 13 years old and attributes that time to his current chiseled muscles. During the Howard Stern Show, he was asked about his fitness routine to which he said, “I’ve been 225 pounds since I was 17 years old. I started lifting at 13. And I guess that’s why I never needed it.”

The Cenation Leader went on to explain the dynamics of a professional weight lifter and what causes the muscles to develop over time. He said, “It’s an indicator of, like, how much my body can repair itself, how much I can build. I’ve gotten 46-47 years without it, and I have it in the bank like a fire escape thing to break open and hopefully give me another 20 years of fitness.”

The ‘Hustle, Loyalty, Respect Soldier’ has given multiple iconic matches in his career. His match against the ‘Brahma Bull’ at WrestleMania is still regarded as one of the greatest matches in the ‘Show of Shows’ history.

A couple of years ago, in 2019, Cena shared his passion and love for staying fit. He revealed the ‘Never Give Up’ motto associated with his life, stating that he had consistently exercised for 30 years without skipping, ultimately leading to the development of a great body that enhanced his performance in WWE matches.
