WWE SmackDown, scheduled to take place in Glendale, Arizona, will feature the “Brahma Bull” Rock addressing ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes’s challenge to hunt the Bloodline faction members before the WrestleMania 40 event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
This week’s Friday Night SmackDown will showcase several over-the-top match cards. The former members of Damage CTRL will clash again in a tag team match, and ‘the Maverick’ Logan Paul is also set to make a brief appearance during the blue brand show at Desert Diamond Arena.
WWE SmackDown venue, start time
WWE SmackDown, the other half of the company’s main shows, has been creating iconic moments for fans since 1999. Superstars like John Cena, Randy Orton, The Rock, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes have all been part of the Blue brand. Known for its various theme songs over the years, SmackDown has a reputation for taking intro music seriously.
This week, the fan-favorite show returns to Glendale, Arizona, best known for its ‘Brand Boulevard’. The event is scheduled to start at 8 pm (ET) on Friday, and more than 12,857 tickets have already been distributed. Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches this Friday, with many hoping for a clash between the Bloodline and Cody Rhodes.
WWE SmackDown match card, appearances
This week, SmackDown has some exciting matches scheduled. The first match from the women’s division will see Bayley & Dakota Kai vs. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane). After last week’s attack on Dakota, this week General Manager Nick Aldis decided to even the odds and set the match between the former teammates.
Another exciting match is between Santos Escobar vs. Carlito in a Street Fight match. Escobar who hates Carlito for changing Rey Mysterio, will get to clash with his nemesis this week and there’s a lot of excitement about how the match will end.
Legado del Fantasma and LWO will support their faction members as this match decides between both fighters who is the best among them. As a representative of their respective factions both Santos and Carlito will give it their all to see themselves win.
Probably the greatest appearance in recent SmackDown history is this week, as The Rock is set to call out Cody Rhodes, who has a busy schedule ahead for his blunder last week on Monday Night Raw with Paul Heyman. ‘The People’s Champion,’ who aimed to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, had his dream match denied after Cody decided to intervene and challenged Roman for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
