WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is widely considered one of the biggest female stars in the history of WWE. In a recent interview, the former WWE women’s champion talked about the possibility of Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley’s match in the company in the future.
Stratus’ last WWE feud was with Becky Lynch, and they had some great matches together before missing the SummerSlam in 2023. However, they eventually settled their differences inside a Steel Cage at WWE Payback 2023.

Trish Stratus is an iconic figure in wrestling for various reasons. Even after her original run in WWE in the early 2000s, people still recall and cherish some of her defining moments. Her comeback almost two decades later for another run last year only serves as a testament to her greatness and gives fans some more memories to hold onto.
Recently, Trish Stratus has been missing from TV programming. The Canadian star’s last appearance was at Payback PLE last year, where she lost to Becky Lynch in a steel cage match. Soon after, Zoey Stark ended her alliance with Trish Stratus, which set up a potential future match between student and mentor. Currently, it is unclear whether WWE plans to move forward with this feud anytime soon.
During an interview with “The Gorilla Position” podcast, a 48-year-old WWE Hall of Famer discussed the possibility of Becky Lynch beating Rhea Ripley when they face off against each other at the Road to WrestleMania 40.
“I am looking forward to that match, I think Becky, It’s like she needs to win, she needs it for her, she needs to prove to herself that she is a workhorse, you know. I mean I believe it because I was beside her for half year. She just goes and works it. she became the NXT champion and did great things for them. She worked with both older and younger ladies, still she comes out top. I think people wanna see Becky Lynch as a champ but I don’t wanna see mami lose. so, it is very tough.” said Stratus.
Trish Stratus reveals feud with Becky Lynch as her favorite
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus had an interview with “The Gorilla Position” podcast, where she talked about her most recent run with WWE. During the interview, she mentioned her cage match with Becky Lynch at Payback 2023, which, according to Stratus, might be her greatest match ever. She also revealed that this cage match is one of her favorite matches of her career.
“It’s funny because I was just at a signing this weekend and I [always] get asked what’s your favourite match. I’ve had so many matches that are special for so many reasons that I kind of go into a little blurb about it. But now I’m just like ‘Cage match,’ Like hands down my favourite and for so many reasons.”
Trish Stratus explained that female performers did not have the same opportunities during her original run with the company. She mentioned how special it was for her to be able to have a match with Lynch.
“Just what it represented. The fact that I could go back this many years later and not only hang with the current crop that sort of thing. But it was more about doing something that I was not able to do. The opportunity was not there for us females back in the day.”
