Christian Horner found himself entangled in a highly unfortunate scenario involving baseless accusations made by a female colleague, leading to significant damage to both his and Red Bull’s reputation within the Formula One community.
Despite being proven innocent, the female colleagues persist in making complaints against the FIA officials, unwilling to let him rest.
Christian Horner female accuser, files official FIA complaint
Christian Horner was accused of assault allegations from his female colleague, which caught the media’s attention, with spectators creating conspiracy theories against the case, further worsening the condition even more.
However, 24 hours later, right after a clear verdict was declared to prove the team principal’s innocence, a compilation of images and documents regarding the case were leaked and sent to 100 different Formula One individuals in the industry. After this incident, many claims were pointed towards the team advisor, Helmut Marko, as he was among the members aware of their confidential information and all other things.
The female colleague was directly suspended after the verdict due to “false accusations” against Horner; however, she had filed a complaint against the FIA officials as she believed her freedom of speech was forcefully shut down with monetary value.
In an official interview, the FIA decided not to comment on the complaint, stating, âAs a consequence, and in general, we are unable to confirm the receipt of any specific complaint and it is unlikely that we will be able to provide further comment on the complaints that we may receive from any parties.â
Why did Red Bull suspend Christian Horner, a female accuser?
Red Bull had conducted an external investigation by a hired barrister to thoroughly study Horner’s case. After nearly two weeks, an official report containing 100 images was made, although the details of the report were never revealed.
However, the F1 racing team had made it clear that the guilty individuals would most likely be sacked from the organisation regardless of their fame, right before the investigation was conducted. Horner’s innocence proved the woman’s allegations false, and as a result, she was ousted from the team due to false allegations and wrongdoings against the main leader of the team.
