Bayern Munich are preparing for a new era from next season onwards. The Bavarians are expected to see huge changes, with lots of players like Alphonso Davies expected to leave. Furthermore, coach Thomas Tuchel is already confirmed to be stepping down at the end of the season.
They have suffered very much this season and may miss out on the Bundesliga title this season, and if they don’t win the UCL, they could go trophyless as well. Already, they are looking into a new manager as their priority, with some potential candidates already mentioned.
Max Eberl rules out hiring Jurgen Klopp as Bayern Munich manager
Bayern Munich director Max Eberl has already ruled out one potential candidate, saying they won’t approach him. That is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who is stepping down from the role at the end of the season. He has confirmed that he will be taking a rest from soccer and won’t join any other clubs, though that is not stopping the many rumors.
Jurgen has been rumored to take the Bayern Munich job for next season, even though he has said the opposite. And now Max Eberl has completely banished the rumor by saying they won’t go for him, and will respect his wishes to rest.

“I know what it means when Kloppo said: I'm running out of energy. Few people can judge that better than me, because I went through it. That's why I'm not going to call him”, told BILD. pic.twitter.com/GxsRkmlU7Q
His exact words were, “I will not call Jurgen Klopp to offer our job. I know what it means when Klopp said: I’m running out of energy. Few people can judge that better than me, because I went through it. That’s why I’m not going to call him.” Klopp has said he will not be taking any roles at any clubs, but did not confirm whether this is a permanent or temporary notion.
Max Eberl talks on Jose Mourinho as potential target
One of the candidates for the Bayer Munich managerial role is Jose Mourinho. The name is a surprising one considering Jose is no longer the manager he once was. Once an established manager in the top leagues, he has recently managed clubs like Tottenham and Roma, both of which have sacked him. He is currently a free agent, and looking for another job.
Mourinho has interestingly never managed in the Bundesliga, and may be tempted to try it out. Director Max Eberl confirmed they were looking into many managers that are available including Jose himself. He said, “Of course we’re also looking into coaches who are currently available. Jose learning German? I don’t know!”
🔴🇵🇹 Would José Mourinho be in the category of 'crazy ideas' for Bayern?

It does seem unlikely that Bayern Munich would hire Jose Mourinho, but soccer is full of surprises. Bayern are also fighting for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso, who is also highly wanted by Liverpool to replace their outgoing manager. The two clubs are expected to compete for the Spaniard’s signature in the following weeks.
Bayern Munich will return to action on the pitch on March 30 when they will have a crucial fixture against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
