Both sides are relaxed on Toni Kroos new contract
At the end of the current 2023/24 season, Spanish giants Los Blancos would face the expiration of contracts for their iconic midfield duo, Luka Modrić, and Toni Kroos. Meanwhile, Modrić is linked with a return to his boyhood club Dinamo Zagreb with uncertainty over his future beyond 2024.
However, for the German international, the prospects of a contract extension seem quite positive. Last year, he signed an extension through a late deal and recently addressed his situation during a press conference ahead of his national team duties for the March 2024 international break.
“I need to first clear the issue of my (club) contract. I don’t have one for next season, There are no issues whatsoever. My relationship with the club is too good to have any issues. Both sides are relaxed. The club is having a good season and so am I. I hope we will find a satisfactory solution,” Kross said

Toni Kroos returns to national team after three-year international retirement
Following a wave of speculation about Toni Kroos coming out of retirement to wear the national team colors and play at Euro 2024, aiding his country during a challenging phase. Last month he officially announced his decision to come out of retirement. He has once again made himself available for Die Mannschaft.
Kroos, who has earned 106 senior caps for Germany and was part of the squad crowned World Champions in 2014 in Brazil after defeating Argentina in the final.
He has been called up by Julian Nagelsmann for the upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands. These matches are part of their preparations for European Showdown Euro 2024, which will be hosted on home soil in June this year.
