Ronda Rousey cites Vince McMahon to take shots at WWE over hosting Saudi Arabia event: “Nation that limits women’s rights”

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey voiced her thoughts about former WWE Chairman and Founder Vince McMahon candidly in a recent statement.

McMahon resigned from his position two months ago after a lawsuit was filed against him by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, who claims to have been subjected to sexual abuse and mistreatment during her time with WWE. However, McMahon has denied all allegations but has been getting hate for this lawsuit. He has yet to prove his innocence to the court.

Ronda Rousey jabs WWE for hosting Saudi Arabia events

Ronda Rousey is widely acknowledged as one of the most dominant performers in the ring. The former RAW Women’s Champion has recently announced the release of her autobiography ‘Our Fight’, in which she took shots at former chairman and owner of WWE Vince McMahon for holding a major WWE event in Saudi Arabia.

She said, “PPVs are held in major cities like New York, Los Angeles & Philadelphia, as well as now twice a year in Saudi Arabia, a nation that restricts the rights of women in a way that I’m certain Vince McMahon wishes he could.”

This came after former WWE employee Janel Grant made startling accusations against McMahon, who is considered one of the most influential individuals in the wrestling industry. Grant accused him of sexual misconduct.

The Rowdy One pointed out that Vince McMahon’s onscreen character in WWE seemed to mirror his real-life treatment of female stars, involving participation in inappropriate segments. He has also encountered numerous allegations and lawsuits regarding this matter throughout the years. Ronda openly shared her belief that McMahon may have sought to limit women’s rights, drawing parallels to the treatment of women in Saudi Arabian society, a country that holds significant business ties with WWE.

“It’s hard sometimes to know where the evil, unethical, slimeball character of Vince McMahon played out for the cameras ends and the actual questionably ethical, many times sued, and multiple times accused of sexual misconduct Vince McMahon begins,” said Ronda Rousey.

Why did Ronda Rousey decide to quit WWE?

During an interview with ESPN, Seth Rollins was asked if he thought any UFC fighters could move to WWE. Rollins expressed his skepticism, stating that he believes it would be difficult for any UFC star to transition due to the rigorous schedule required to sustain a career in WWE.

”To fight over 100 times a year, make all those towns, still be able to train, and still be able to do all the media, it’s exhausting. I don’t want to knock Ronda Rousey, and I love Ronda, She did a lot for our industry and the fight industry in general, but it was tough for Ronda. She tried her damnest, and it was hard for her. I’d love for someone to come over and take a crack if you think you can hang, it’s hard.” said Rollins.

Seth Rollins is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he has defended his title multiple times since winning it last year. With WWE and the UFC being part of the TKO Holdings Group, fans are curious if any UFC stars can successfully transition to WWE.

However, Seth Rollins has his doubts regarding this transition. While fighters like Ronda Rousey have made their way to WWE from the world of UFC, they were not seen as highly skilled professional wrestlers.
