Who is Vegas owner Mark Davis?
Mark Davis inherited the Oakland Raiders, now known as the Las Vegas Raiders, from his father, AI Davis, in 2011. Though he owns a 47% stake in the Raiders, a contract provision provides an opportunity for him and his mother, Carol, to enjoy a major controlling interest in the franchise.
Since the 68-year-old took over for his father, the Raiders have managed two playoff appearances, with no postseason wins. In his 12 years of ownership, the veteran raised the eyebrows of fans several times after dismissing two presidents and two financial executives, as well as accepting the resignation of one head coach.
Besides the Raiders, Davis also owns the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. According to Forbes, his net worth in 2023 is $1.9 billion.
Broncos players dislike Mark Davis for this one hilarious reason
During a Q&A session in The DNVR Broncos Podcast in the Broncos’ locker room, the team’s players were asked to provide their reasons for “hating” their divisional rivals Las Vegas.
While other players were pointing out topics ranging from on-field rivalry to prolonged historic games, the team’s Pass-rusher Randy Gregory gave a unique reason by saying that he hates the Raiders duo and the haircut of Mark Davis.
“Do you really want my answer? I don’t like the owner’s haircut, to be honest. I don’t like the bowl cut. It kind of pisses me off.”
Davis has long been recognized in the league for his funny bowl-cut hairstyle. However, the primary owner as well as the managing Partner of Las Vegas earlier deflected responsibility from his barber for this weird haircut.
“I simply blow-dry it, and the result is this. I hardly ever need to comb it. The hair is not his barber’s fault. I compelled her to comply”, he said during an appearance on an episode of HBO.
