Ryan Garcia makes a bold claim of beating prime Floyd Mayweather after Dillon Danis IG rant

Ryan Garcia is scheduled to fight Devin Haney in a highly anticipated WBC super lightweight title fight on April 20. However, he has been in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons, ranging from drug accusations to conspiracy theories and paranoia.

Garcia is again in the news. However, this time, it was due to the comments he made about the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and the controversial Dillon Danis. Garcia had earlier ranted against Sean O’Malley, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, Mike Majlak, and KSI.

Ryan Garcia claims he is capable of beating prime Floyd Mayweather

Ryan Garcia has had a contentious relationship with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. After all, Garcia is signed under Golden Boy Promotions of Oscar De La Hoya, the long-time rival of Mayweather. At one point, rumors speculated that Garcia would leave Golden Boy for Mayweather Promotions.

Nonetheless, Garcia has now made a bold claim on Spaces via X. “Honestly, in his prime, I think I could knock out Floyd Mayweather”, said Garcia. Mayweather has not suffered a professional boxing defeat. Despite the close fights against Marcos Maidana and Jose Luis Castillo, nobody came close to defeating Mayweather.

On the other hand, Garcia lost his undefeated record when he fought Gervonta Davis, a former protege of Mayweather. When Garcia faced Davis, there was a rehydration clause that prevented him from competing at his best. Moreover, he also had a rib injury going into the fight.

Rumors speculate that Mayweather was the one who leaked the injury to Davis’s camp. Similarly, when Garcia leaked the training footage of Davis destroying Haney, Mayweather was accused of it by Haney, per Boxing News.

Ryan Garcia goes on Dillon Danis rant on IG

Ryan Garcia recently went on Instagram Live and funnily enough, Dillon Danis commented on it. Danis tried to troll Garcia as he insinuated that Garcia had a relationship with P Diddy who is now facing accusations of rape, mainly from male musical artists.

Garcia went on a rant at Danis and accused him of being a ‘Devil Worshiper’. Moreover, fans on IG Live also trolled Danis. Garcia went on to urge his fans to go off at Danis as well. Before his fight with Davis, Garcia was interviewed by Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour where Garcia did not have good things to say about Danis.

At the time, Danis did not have a team to train with and Helwani asked Garcia whether he would train the Jiu-Jitsu ace. “I don’t even know what his deal is…He’s just like the master troll…I don’t know if I could even train. I don’t even know if he’s really training. I can’t trust anything he does or says, right?… I’m probably gonna have to do a hard pass”, replied Garcia.

In a previous Instagram Live, Garcia went off at Jake Paul and KSI, Paul’s friend and business partner. Like Danis, Garcia accused Paul and KSI of being ‘Devil Worshipers’ as well. Before that, Garcia vowed to end the boxing career of Jake Paul.
