NFL reacts to Pro Wrestling after Tony Khan gets attacked by The Elite on AEW Dynamite

On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan got destroyed by Jack Perry and The Elite. After Jack came face-to-face with Tony Khan in the ring, absolutely shocking events unfolded in front of the Jacksonville crowd.

To make matters interesting, even the NFL joined in on the act. After the attack on Tony Khan, the NFL published an article, expressing concerns over the Jacksonville Jaguars’ chief football strategy officer’s well-being.

With the 2024 NFL Draft kicking off on Thursday, the segment of AEW put a big question mark over Tony’s participation in the process. While the NFL acknowledges the storytelling of the wrestling business, the concern stems from TK not being involved in any physical altercation in the ring prior to Wednesday night.

In the closing moments of the show, Perry extended his hand to the owner in a bid to make amends for his past actions. After the duo firmly shook hands and embraced tightly, Perry delivered a cheap shot right into Tony’s gut with the mic. The Elite rushed to the ring seemingly to defuse the situation but soon showed their true colors by delivering a Meltzer Driver to the shaken billionaire.

They closed the show by dragging Tony’s motionless body to the middle of the ring before the refs and medics came to check on their boss. Senior Khan also made an appearance to check on his son. Since then, Jack Perry and The Elite have revealed their motives behind the assault after the show went off-air.

Jack Perry, The Elites reveal motive behind attacking Tony Khan

After AEW Dynamite, the four culprits were seen together backstage. When the camera approached them, Jack Perry stepped out first to address his motive behind the attack.

Perry said that TK took 8 months of his career and he got exactly what he deserved. Jack Perry was indefinitely suspended following the infamous brawl with CM Punk during All In London last year.

The Bucks also detailed their side of reasoning and stated that they were trying to put the place back just like it was supposed to be. Labeling Tony “the best boss I’ve ever worked for”, Nick Jackson added that it is the best version of The Elite.

As of the time of writing, English Premier League side, Fulham are yet to comment on this shocking turn of events, but it will surely be intriguing to see how the story unfolds in the coming episodes of AEW programming.
