John Cena is one of the most iconic superstars in WWE. He has solidified his position as one of the greatest superstars to ever exist in the pro wrestling industry. He is the 16-time WWE champion and has achieved this feat through many struggles over the years. Many fans consider him the greatest of all time.
Now, even WWE is considering Cena the greatest of all time. The Cenation Leader’s former rival, Matt Cardona, has also confirmed his stance on this.
Matt Cardona agrees with WWE’s John Cena’s listing
Though up until now Cena’s position as the wrestling GOAT was only considered by fans, now those within the WWE promotion also believe it. Recently, Sean of Fightful Select tweeted about John Cena being listed as “The Greatest of All Time” in internal listings backstage at this week’s SmackDown.
Former WWE superstar Matt Cardona saw the post and retweeted it, sharing his agreement with the title by writing, “Good. Because he is.” Matt Cardona is happy to see WWE appreciating the efforts put in by Cena in the business.
Cardona and Cena were rivals previously, as they were both co-workers in WWE. Ever since leaving the company, Cardona has had nothing but good things to say about John.
Cena welcomed Dwayne Johnson back to WWE
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, made a grand return to WWE. Fans welcomed The People’s Champ with a chanting ovation when he entered the arena during a segment between Pat McAfee and Austin Theory.
The Rock tore apart Austin Theory in a verbal confrontation, and after that, he performed the Spinebuster move on him. After that segment, Pat McAfee and The Rock were backstage, where Pat noticed Cena and told The Rock.
At that moment, The Rock and John Cena stood face-to-face and stared at each other, making the surroundings tense for a few seconds until Cena smiled. The People’s Champ noticed the smile and told him that he saw Cena smiling, to which John Cena agreed. John Cena then welcomed The Rock on his homecoming and left the place. For most of the WWE fans, it was a heartwarming event considering their connection to WWE.
