Cody Rhodes’ next feud is potentially against surprising name

WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, aka The American Nightmare, has become one of the most prominent wrestlers on the WWE main roster. In this new run after returning to WWE in 2022, he has faced off against many big superstars like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

However, this time his new feud is teased against one peculiar opponent, and that star is none other than Omos, aka The Nigerian Giant. Fans are quite thrilled with this new rivalry, as Omos previously fought against Brock “The Beast” Lesner, and it was entertaining.

Cody Rhodes’ potential next feud

Recently, during a WWE live event held in Palm Springs, California, Cody Rhodes, aka The American Nightmare, was competing against Dominik Mysterio in a street fight for the NXT North American Championship. While Cody and Dominik were exchanging blows, the Nigerian giant Omos came outside the ring and assaulted Rhodes.

Before that match, The American Nightmare was a guest at Omos’ partner MVP’s V.I.P Lounge segment. During that segment, a potential feud between Rhodes and Omos was teased, which eventually came to fruition in that match.

Cody Rhodes and Omos have never faced off against each other in a singles match, either on TV or at a WWE live event. It would be very interesting to see them exchanging blows in the squared circle of WWE.

Rhodes is still WWE’s priority for WM 40

Being the current babyface of WWE, Cody Rhodes has performed in some astonishing matches since his return. He even main-evented WrestleMania39 with The Head of the Table Roman Reigns.

Recently, fans became concerned for The American Nightmare as The Rock returned to WWE, and there is some good chance of The Rock facing off against Roman Reigns in WrestleMania 40. This might leave Cody Rhodes out in the blue as he still has to complete the storyline with the Bloodline leader Roman Reigns, which was left at WrestleMania 39.

However, a recent update from BWE confirms that Cody Rhodes is still the top priority for WrestleMania 40, despite the reactions received by The Rock’s return. There is a high chance for Cody Rhodes to be part of the next WrestleMania main event.
