The Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick Jordan Addison has been troubled with a legal battle lately due to the allegation of speeding on a freeway and reckless driving last week, albeit he now imposed all the blames for the misdeed on his dog.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol as confirmed via NFL.com, a patrol officer witnessed a driver in a Lamborghini Urus traveling 140 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone when he was on his way eastbound on I-94 at midnight. The officer made a traffic stop and the person was identified as Addison. The trooper then issued the Tuscarora High School graduate a ticket for speed as well as reckless driving.

According to a court filing cited by multiple reports, the Vikings rookie told the Minnesota State Patrol “his dog was having an emergency at his residence and that was the reason for his speed.”

Based on a report from NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, the former USC standout has already agreed with the allegation and issued an apology for his misconduct.
“Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment. I recognize and own that. I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry.”
The 21-year-old participated in the rookie minicamp with the Vikings in May and June. However, he could not actively take part in the session and was bound to be just an observer for most of the on-field offseason practices after getting plagued by injuries.
