Fans call for omission of “ridiculously dangerous” Qatar GP after multiple racers hit medical centre

The Qatar GP was an event everyone was looking forward to. However, the many recurring incidents concerned many fans and audiences globally for the drivers, eventually all of them gathering online to raise their voices against them.

The incidents constantly occurring in Qatar had nothing to do with the training but the terrible weather of the country and itself.

Qatar GP takes toll on multiple drivers

The Qatar GP has proved to be a horrendous event for the drivers, as many of them are either falling sick or severely injured during the races. Alex Albon had to be taken to the medical center of the Qatar GP because of exhaustion and heat exposure.

After that, Esteban Ocon said he was throwing up for two laps, along with Logan Sargeant retiring during the race. Lance Stroll exclaimed that everything was blurry for the last 25-30 laps and he was passing out in high-speed corners.

When asked about the conditions of the races and the country, Lando Norris replied: “I think today we probably found the limit. I think it’s sad we had to find it this way.”

“It’s never a nice situation to be in, some people ending up in the medical centre or passing out, and things like that. So, a pretty dangerous thing to have going on.”

“But it’s not a point where you can just go, the drivers need to train more or do any of that. We’re in a closed car that gets extremely hot in a very physical race. And it’s frustrating.”

Lance the continued to express the danger: “I guess on TV, it probably doesn’t look very physical at all, but, when you have people who end up retiring or in such a bad state, it’s too much, you know, for the speeds we’re doing. It is too dangerous.”

“I know that this race next year is later on in the season, and it will be a lot cooler a few months later, but it’s something that needs to be thought of, and I’m sure we’ll speak about it because it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.”

Fans call for omission of Qatar GP

Fans have been in unity on social networking sites such as Twitter, to either postpone the race schedule to later, when the country gets cooler towards November or to increase the safety of their favourite drivers.

With the rising temperature, it would not be a wise decision to continue the show despite the drivers’ struggles. Hence, no wonder many netizens demanded the dismissal of this event.

The F1 audience also stated that events are supposed to be fun for both the fans and the audience, whereas none of them were getting any sort of enjoyment from the Qatar GP.

They have stated and pledged the FIA to banish the Qatar GP, as they had enough of the misery of drivers throughout the races without any safety measures.
