Qatar GP has ended with a huge bang, we now have a three time world champion amongst us with arguably the most dominant car in the entirety of Formula 1 history. The US GP is around the corner with its fair share of challenges, excitement and anticipations. The US GP is one of the most awaited GPs every year owing to it’s track following and driver reception by the fans.
It can be confusing to find the exact details of the F1 timetable, especially since the US GP is going to be a Sprint event with its own set of rules. However, fans don’t need to worry about the race schedule, as we will provide all the necessary information.
US GP date, time and schedule
The United Stated Grand Prix or US GP in short will be held in Austin, Texas at the Circuit of Americas track this year. It is the 19th race according to the schedule (18th race of the season due to the cancellation of Emilia Romagna GP). As such, fans must be wondering about the date, time and even schedule for the GP. Look no further as we have sorted it out for you in advance.
The Austin GP weekend shall start on Friday 20th October with Free Practice sessions that help the teams and decide the setups they will be running throughout the weekend. Following these sessions we shall have Qualifying from 16:00 local time in COTA and 22:00 UK time.
Saturday will be the sprint shootout day with Sprint Qualifying session starting from 12:30 local time and 18:30 UK time. The very same day we shall witness the sprint race from 17:00 local time and 23:00 UK time.
Sunday will be the final race marking the end of US GP and it shall start from 14:00 local time 23:00 UK time.
