Though the Dallas Cowboys are not doing that poorly in comparison to many other NFL teams, things are getting terrible for their quarterback, Dak Prescott. He is one of the players who are regularly torn apart by netizens and analysts alike.
Following the Cowboys’ recent loss against the San Francisco 49ers, one more analyst has been added to his hater list, and he is the former veteran Donte Whitner. However, besides a number of haters, Prescott has some admirers as well who lifted him up amid controversies. The Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill has recently stretched his hand to boost the quarterback by taking a dig at Whitner for his debating system.
Tyreek Hill stands with Dak Prescott following criticism
In the game against San Francisco, Prescott completed 14 of 24 passes for 153 yards along with one touchdown pass and three interceptions while getting sacked thrice. During NBC Bay Area’s 49ers postgame show, Whitner took a jab at the signal-caller saying he in no way looks like a franchise quarterback. He also slammed the Cowboys saying they try to defend their star while using profane words for the signal-caller.
“Dak Prescott sucks. Period. They talk so much about Dak Prescott being a top tier QB, franchise guy, I don’t see it. I see them trying to cover up for what he lacks.”
However, as a current player in the league, Hill didn’t like the comment. He took to X to share a response to the ex-footballer’s statement saying, “What’s up with the old heads,” he wrote with a thinking emoji, indicating how some former NFL players are trash-talking about current stars.
Meanwhile, this marks the second time this week a former NFL star delivered such harsh comments toward current players. Rodney Harrison called the New York Jets QB Zach Wilson “garbage” following Gang Green’s loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, albeit he later apologized for the comment.

Whitner also fired back at Cheetah in response to his words with a comment that looked more like a threat, saying,” You’re fast but you’re lucky….I’d have killed you on that field…mind your business homie…”
However, the veteran probably understood that he was going overboard and deleted the comment after a while. He wrote another comment, saying, “Ol head? You’ll be here one day… I said what I said homie”
Nevertheless, the comment has already gained the attention of the netizens and the Dolphins star. Tyreek retweeted the ex-safety’s comment asking him why he deleted the former one while taking a vow to refrain from taking jabs at any player in the league.
“Why you deleted your comment? And I promise I won’t hate on no NFL player I stand on business 🫡”
While the former players can definitely provide valuable insights about the teams and athletes, negative remarks like this can be frustrating for the particular footballer. However, Prescott is well aware of the situation as he is frequently criticized by netizens for his poor interception record. With the recent loss, Dallas now slipped to 3-2 and would face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6.
