Tom Brady is a person for whom the phrase “You can love him, you can hate him, but you can’t ignore him” is just perfect. The quarterback’s ardent fans are looking forward to cheering their lungs out for him while the critics are also waiting to once again gain public attention by taking digs at him.
TB12 is going to hit his fifty soon, but the NFL community wants more of the “Brady dose”. Though he has repeatedly quashed the rumors about taking a U-turn to the football field, fans are not ready to hear him, and now, the signal-caller has decided to let them speculate more about his potential unretirement decision by igniting the rumor once again.
Tom Brady jokes about reversing retirement decision
During the latest episode of the SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray, the signal-caller hosted popular Youtuber Mr. Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson. The influencer was asked to advise on how to amass more views for his podcast, and Jimmy replied by saying the thing that every Brady fan probably wants.
He suggested the ex-football veteran announce a second time unretirement, and the place the clip at the beginning of the podcast. That way, Donaldson said, the show would go through the roof.
Though the California Cool was laughing hearing the suggestion, he had actually sent shockwaves among fans by saying the most awaited line “I am coming out of retirement”, but did so with his fingers crossed.
This marked the second time, the 46-year-old joked about resuming play as before the 2023 NFL season, he had joked about unretirement by posting a cryptic story on Instagram where he was saying to get prepared for the training camp.
However, before going head over heels hearing Brady’s recent statement about returning to the league, know for a while that he actually smashed the rumor after the initial joke. The former New England Patriots star jokingly said if he decided to unretire once again, his parents and children would kill him. He also added that a play can take a U-turn for once, and in his case, the opportunity has already been taken, referring to his first unretirement last year.
Jets rule out pursuing Brady after Aaron Rodgers’ injury
When the New York Jets new quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustained a potential season-ending injury in week 1, fans rallied on social media to urge Gang Green to let Brady lead the team by signing him. However, the former Pats’ star himself said several times that he wouldnât resume play, and hence, the Jets didnât decide to ask him out, per a report of The Athletic in September.
In A-Rod’s absence, the Jets are totally banking on their backup Zach Wilson. Though the young star couldnât do much well to get entitled as a franchise QB, his performance against the Kansas City Chiefs was definitely laudable. With the former Green Bay Packers vet still recovering from his injury, Wilson will be at the helm for the Big Apple.
Meanwhile, Tom Terrific continues his foray into business by making back-to-back investments in real estate and sports teams. Though the former footballer’s crypto investments didnât turn out to be that successful, his fitness brand TB12 continues to help people get a healthy lifestyle, and he is also having some memorable interactions with fans. In short, Brady is living to his fullest with his family, friends, and fans.
