After gracing the NFL world for more than two decades donning the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey, Tom Brady is now out of the sports field. Though the ex-footballer teases fans with comeback rumors, he is not expected to be seen quarterbacking once again.
Out of the sports world, Brady is spending busy times with his family, friends, and podcast as well as serving as a “strategic adviser” for Delta Airlines, and his foray into business is also going side by side. However, one of his popular ventures, the TB12 brand, which he co-founded with Alex Guerrero, has recently hit the headlines for wrapping up its business.
Who is Alex Guerrero?
Guerrero, an Argentine practitioner of alternative medicine, is Brady’s personal trainer. He assisted the quarterback in dealing with the injury issues that became a significant setback in his early career. The duo later founded the fitness brand TB12, and most recently, Guerrero joined hands with Dr. Peter Cummings to start a company called TBRx.
The ex-Patriots star also took time to send good wishes to his former coach ahead of his new venture while saying how the vet’s approach helped him over his career.
“I have personally witnessed the transformative power of Alex’s Total Body Recovery approach throughout my career. It has been instrumental in keeping me at my peak performance level year after year. TBRx will undoubtedly extend the benefits of this method to many others, allowing them to thrive both on and off the field.”
In personal life, Alex and his wife Alicia have been married for more than 30 years. The couple share four children and now have two beautiful grandkids.
When did Tom Brady start the TB12 brand?
Brady and Alex started the TB12 brand in 2016 which uses his initials and numbers to publicize his healthy lifestyle with a focus on a more natural, healthier way of exercising, training, and living that he successfully maintained later in his career. It offers tubs of plant-based protein along with supplements and fitness equipment.
Recently Dale Arnold, a Boston-based sports writer, wrote on social media that he heard the California Cool and his trainer are no longer in the fitness business. He also noted that the TB12 is going to close soon as California Cool has been planning a new business model. However, Ben Volin, Boston Globe Patriots reporter, smashed the rumor saying Alex assured him of continuing the business.
In response to this, Alex Guerrero tells me, "Tom and I are still in business together." https://t.co/RGfbf4J9nd

The rumors about the end of the fitness brand were circulating on the air for a while as WEEI in Boston’s Mike Kadlick earlier disclosed that the brand’s facilities were incurring a huge loss.
