Kayla Braxton has been one of the most important personalities in WWE for the last few years. She has been with the company since 2016, and has recently stepped down from her current role as it looks like she plans on going to the Hollywood Industry next.
Braxton has been with WWE for about 7 years now. She initially started out as a host and a backstage interviewer at NXT and eventually became the ring announcer of the black and gold brand. As of now, she serves as a backstage interviewer on SmackDown occasionally and the co-host of WWE’s talk show, The Bump.
Kayla Braxton aims to go topless
Before stepping down as the co-host of WWE’s The Bump, Kayla Braxton had frequently hinted at a potential career outside the wrestling industry. In 2022, Braxton expressed her interest in venturing into the Hollywood industry and mentioned her desire to ‘expand her repertoire.’ She specifically expressed her interest in starring in horror movies, even if it meant playing the character who dies at the very beginning to kickstart the film.
“LOVE my current gig and have no intention of leaving anytime soon, but I wanna add to my arsenal. So if any movie or talk show producers follow me and are looking for either an entertainment/late night host or a horror movie actress (even the one who dies first), hit me up!”, wrote Braxton in her post.

Now that she is free from her duties as the host of WWE’s weekly talk show, she has once again expressed her desire to star in horror movies. She even wrote that she “would run topless and covered in blood through the woods while being chased by a serial killer”.
Braxton discusses commentary role
Kayla Braxton has been the co-host of WWE’s The Bump for some time now, and has recently announced her departure from the role. She has been in a total of 240 episodes till now, and said that it had been an honor to be with the show from when it started to where it is today. She also announced that Megan Morant will be replacing her as the co-host of the weekly talk show.
“Being in WWE now for nearly seven years, there has been a lot of growth, been a lot of change, all for the good. So I’m really excited, this will be my final day as the host of WWE’s The Bump. I’m not leaving the show, I’m still going to be doing some cool content that will be rolling into the show every single week,” said Kayla Braxton.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Braxton opened up about WWE offering her a role as a commentator. However, she revealed that the job was pretty difficult for her and wasn’t considering it as a new possible venture.
”I’ve done a lot (in WWE). I’ve thought about that. They’ve talked to me about being on the commentary desk. I give so much kudos to commentators. That is a difficult, difficult job. Talk about a talented woman who could do pretty much anything under the sun. But it’s difficult, so I don’t think that’s gonna be my route”, said Braxton in the interview.
Kayla Braxton has had several memorable moments in WWE, including her occasional clashes with Paul Heyman and being teased as his ‘girlfriend’ by Roman Reigns one time. It will be interesting to see where she goes or what she does if she plans on being with WWE in the future.
