Jimmy Garoppolo joined the Las Vegas Raiders this season because the 49ers club got weary of his inconsistent availability as a result of his string of injuries. He made his first appearance for the San Francisco 49ers memorable by stealing a 17-16 road victory over their divisional rival Denver Broncos.
Nevertheless, just after one season, the relationship between Garoppolo and the Raiders seemingly experiences a hit as the Raiders starter regarding a potential trade.
Jimmy Garoppolo named as potential trade candidate
The Raiders have had an average start with a 2-3 record after five weeks of NFL games. Unfortunately, their starter, whom they signed to a three-year, $67.5 million deal, has also been struggling to help them win. Excluding his missed match against the Los Angeles Chargers, he has thrown for 917 yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions in four games.

Jimmy recently cleared the concussion protocol after sustaining the concussion during the Raiders Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Nevertheless, the Raiders are perhaps still in doubt about their quarterback position as they were last season with Derek Carr. According to an X NFL Rumors post, the Raiders first-year quarterback has been mentioned as a trade candidate.
Regarding their quarterback room, the Raiders club is genuinely in a terrible mess. Jimmy was replaced by youngster Aidan O’Connell since he had to miss the game against the Chargers. O’Connell made his NFL debut a forgettable one by being the first player to experience seven sacks and three turnovers in a single game.

The Raiders stunned the football world by making a big decision at quarterback last season. They benched their long-time quarterback Derek Carr before the playoffs last term. Furthermore, after failing to find a trade partner, the team cut their ties with Carr in February of this season.
Soon, the starter position of the Raiders saw Jimmy Garoppolo after Detek’s nine season’s supremacy. Before starting his next chapter with the New Orleans Saints, the former Raiders player began his career with the Raiders, after being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
The three-time Pro Bowler enjoyed an accolades-filled career with the Raiders throughout these nine season. He became the first in Raiders history with 31,700 passing yards. Apart from that he was also able to put his name in the Raiders history being the only player with four consecutive 4,000-yard passing seasons.
However, in spite of that the Raiders lost their interest in him and replaced him with Jimmy Garoppolo. Now, after just five weeks, they seem exhausted with the former 49ers player.
