Logan and Jake Paul, the Paul brothers, are now among of the most popular names in professional boxing. Former Disney stars turned social media influencers were among the first to raise their hands to celebrity boxing.
Logan Paul in the aftermath of the Prime card which saw him demolishing Dillon Danis and Tommy Fury eking out a decision over KSI, recently talked about his brother, Jake Paul’s future plans in the realm of professional boxing.
Logan Paul wants Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury rematch
Logan Paul is one half of the podcast of his widely viewed YouTube podcast, Impaulsive. The other half is friend and fellow influencer, Mike Majlak. In episode 395 of the Impaulsive podcast, Paul discussed a wide variety of subjects related to his recently concluded boxing bout with Dillon Danis and his brother’s future plans.
Eventhough KSI and Logan Paul are friends and business partners, the same is not the case with KSI and Jake Paul. The two have a budding rivalry and had even insinuated about fighting each other. However, in the aftermath of MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card, Logan Paul does not wish to see his younger brother fighting KSI. Moreover, he suggested that he should instead be fighting Tommy Fury.
Tommy Fury’s victory over KSI at the Prime Card was very uneventful. The event garnered controversy for being too shameful to be a pay-per-view event. Fury has a history with Jake Paul, Fury defeated Paul via a split decision when the two locked horns in Saudi Arabia. Logan Paul wants his younger brother to rematch Fury and get the win back.
Interstingly, KSI has defeated Logan Paul in Paul’s first professional boxing bout. They had earlier fought to a draw in an amateur bout. Jake Paul’s boxing bout with Tommy Fury ended with the scorecards of 74–75, 76–73, 76–73. It was Paul’s first and only loss in professional boxing. Tommy Fury, like his older half-brother, Tyson Fury is undefeated in professional boxing.
When is Jake Paul fighting next?
Jake Paul most recently fought Nate Diaz in an anticipated bout billed as Ready 4 War. Paul won the fight via unanimous decision. Paul was also in the corner of his older brother, Logan Paul, in his bout against Dillon Danis. A recent X post from MVP Promotions insinuated Jake Paul’s next opponent in boxing.
MVP Promotions is owned by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian. It was founded in 2021 and has co-promoted the much-anticipated women’s boxing bout between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom boxing. The recent X post of MVP Promotions read, “Who is next? Jake Paul is back December 15th. Opponent to be announced after Serrano Ramos on Friday, October 27th. Tune in on DAZN!”.
The Problem Child’s next opponent would be announced after the 12-round women’s boxing championship bout between Amanda Serrano and Danila Ramos on October 27. There are rumors that Paul will be fighting another UFC veteran on December 15. Paul has already beaten UFC veterans, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley x2, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. The next UFC veteran rumored to fight Paul is none other than Jorge Masvidal.
Masvidal, a former BMF champion with the UFC, retired after his bout with Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. Masvidal and “The Problem Child” had an online beef at the beginning and have since been cordial. “Gamebred” was even a guest on Jake Paul’s podcast, BS w/ Jake Paul. The Miami native is presently involved with his Gamebred Promotions, promoting MMA and Bare Knuckle Fights.
