The Miami Dolphins, led by Tyreek Hill, had to accept their karma the week after they humiliated the Denver Broncos 70-20 by losing to the Buffalo Bills. However, they bounced back and picked up consecutive wins against the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.
In the past two weeks, the Dolphins faced relatively weaker rivals this season. Therefore, securing a win against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 7 was the primary challenge for them to maintain a 6-1 record. However, they had to settle for a 5-2 record after losing to Philly. Despite the setback, Hill came forward with an optimistic statement.
Tyreek Hill vows to do better to NFL fans
In the Dolphins’ 14-point loss to the Eagles, Hill did not perform at his best, delivering a comparatively underwhelming performance. Even in the third quarter, he dropped a pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa that could have resulted in a touchdown. He also finished with less than 100 yards for the third time this season, via Bleacher Report.
The veteran expressed frustration with his performance and took to the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, to assure fans of a strong comeback when they host the New England Patriots in Week 8.

After recording 163 yards against the Carolina Panthers and 181 yards against the New York Giants, ‘Cheetah’—a reference to the player, possibly a nickname or a proper name—managed just 11 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets against the Philadelphia team. While the score might not be the worst in the league, his average of eight yards per catch certainly tied his season-low.
Eagles beat Dolphins in NFL game week 7
Both the Eagles and the Dolphins started with five wins from six this season, so the excitement surrounding the match was at its peak. Additionally, the starting quarterbacks from both teams, Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa, were long-time buddies, adding more spice to the competition.
Despite the NFL GOAT Tom Brady’s warning about tush push, Hurts once again followed the unique strategy to earn a lead for his team. With Hurts’ first 75-yard drive and wide receiver A.J. Brown’s incredible touchdown catch from a 14-yard pass, the Eagles got a 24-17 lead prior to the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins attempted to mount a comeback and even managed to tie the game at 17-17 in the third quarter before the Eagles took the lead at 24-17. The Philadelphia team’s defense dominated the game for the remainder of it, and Darius Slay’s interception turned the tide in their favor.
Hurts’ squad capitalized on the turnover with a touchdown drive, culminating in veteran Kenneth Gainwell’s three-yard rushing touchdown. This performance ultimately secured a 31-17 victory over Tua’s team.
