Chris Paul excited for play on Warriors in NBA 2023-24 season
Back in July 2023, the Golden State Warriors acquired Chris Paul in a trade from the Washington Wizards. This trade caught a lot of people off guard as they were not expecting the Dubs to make a trade as they had just lost to the Celtics in the NBA Finals. However, the Warriors were looking for a veteran point guard to help out the team and CP3 checked all the boxes.
After the trade, Paul did an interview with ESPN where he expressed his thoughts about the trade. He said that he was super excited to play with the core of the Warriors, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. He also emphasized the point that he had changed many teams but is extra excited to play with the Dubs as they know what it takes and have won the championship multiple times. During the interview, CP3 said, “When you get down on the court with guys that are like-minded and love to play the game the same way that I love to. I am excited about it.”
He further added, “When you go to a new team, I’ve done it a number of times now but I am definitely excited about this because these guys know what it’s all about they’ve been there, they’ve won over and over again, I am glad to be a part of that process.”
