Kirk Cousins NFL season ends with a brutal injury
In the Vikings’ impressive 14-point victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Cousins suffered an injury midway through the fourth quarter when his right leg buckled while he was dropping back to pass. This unfortunate incident occurred as he was sacked on the play by the Packers’ defensive tackle, Kenny Clark.
The quarterback managed to hop to the sideline on his left leg for an evaluation in the medical tent. However, he was subsequently carted to the locker room and couldn’t return to the game. The four-time Pro Bowler will undergo an MRI to assess the extent of his injury, but head coach Kevin O’Connell expressed concern that it may be an Achilles tendon injury.
“We will figure out the severity of it and let you guys know what my fear of is right now of the injury. When we confirm that as an organization we will try to move forward in the short term knowing that I’m not sure anybody in this league overall was playing as well as Kirk at the position this year,” via AP News.

If the 35-year-old tore his tendon that is most likely to happen, his season would be over. He completed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards while scoring two touchdown passes before suffering the blow.
