Fans claim that they play a game of fox and octopus, as both celebrated after the game.
Daniil Medvedev, who was aiming to successfully defend an ATP title for the first time, fell shot to a raw and aggressive Sinner in the Vienna Open finals, as the 22-year-old Italian lifted his 10th ATP title of his career, a record title he shares with Adriano Panatta.

Jannik Sinner defeated Daniil Medvedev for the second time this month, as the 22-year-old Italian star moved past the Russian star 7-6(7), 4-6, 6-3 to lift the title at the Erste Bank title at the Vienna Open. Jannik beat World No. 3 in the Beijing final at the start of October to earn his first victory and make sure history repeats itself in Vienna.

Jannik Sinner victory in Vienna ties him 10 ATP trophies, a record for the most titles ever won by an Italian man. He shares the record with Adriano Panatta. The World No. 4 has not drop a set en route to the final in Vienna and will compete at the ATP Finals in Turin in November after qualifying earlier this month.
Daniil Medvedev suffers second final loss to Jannik Sinner
Daniil lost to Jannik Sinner in the final of the China Open in Beijing and lost again in the Vienna Open in Austria, making it two consecutive defeats in an ATP Tour for the Russian.
Medvedev addresses him not ever defending a title after losing to Jannik Sinner: “I have this thing where I can’t apparently defend a title anywhere. I’ll try to do it next time. Here also. The world no. 3 and 2021 US Open champion was aiming to lift his 21st ATP Tour title but fell to Jannik in Austria. The 27-year-old leaves Vienna holding a 64-15 record for the year as he heads to the Paris Masters.
