Dillon Danis, the controversial combat sports athlete, recently chimed in about the recently concluded boxing bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. Danis, in his most recent bout, lost to Jake Paul via DQ.
Known for his controversial remarks on social media, Danis does not shy away from putting out words on social media that are deemed too sensitive. His recent social media tirade had already resulted in a defamation lawsuit and a restraining order.
Dillon Danis tries to justify his humiliating defeat to Logan Paul
Following the DQ loss to Logan Paul, Dillon Danis seeks to justify his humiliating defeat. Danis recently posted a picture of his fight with Paul alongside a picture of Francis Ngannou’s knockdown of Tyson Fury, with the caption, “Boxing isn’t real; in a real fight, you’re dead.”
Danis, a longtime friend of Conor McGregor, was battered throughout in his fight with Logan Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer. In the fight, Dillon even went to use grappling techniques against Paul. Moreover, he did not even land any significant blow on Paul throughout the bout. The bout ended when the referee stopped the contest after Danis attempted to choke Paul.
Even after the end of the bout, Danis tried to sucker punch Paul but was stopped by the security guards. He even attempted to throw punches at the security but missed. The commentator of the event even joked that Danis threw more punches at the security guard than at Logan Paul.
Boxing fans not having Dillon Danis’ justification
Fans of boxing on social media took offense to the tweet that Danis made on X. There were a series of comments beneath Danis’ post that roasted him citing a lot of things. The X handle, Demigod LFC commented on the post, ““Boxing isn’t real in a real fight you’re dead.” with a picture of a Joker insinuating that Danis is a clown.
Another X handle, xoup commented, “don’t compare your fight to their fight. this is a better example for you.” with a picture mocking Dillon Danis. The fight between Fury and Ngannou was entertaining and kept the audience on their feet. However, the Paul vs Danis bout was met with boos by the audience mainly due to Danis.
Moreover, another X handle, Aces of Sol commented, “You talk too much for someone that lost miserably against Logan Paul.” Paul is not an elite boxer and Danis lost miserably to Paul. It needs to be noted that prior to the bout, Danis had trained with the likes of Alex Pereira but that did not translate inside the ring.
Boxing fans are very much hyped mainly because of Francis Ngannou’s amazing performance against Tyson Fury. Danis tweeting disrespectfully at this time was the main reason that he got extra hate from the boxing community on social media.
