Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts shuts down knee injury inquiry after earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week nod

The Philadelphia Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, are making fans chanting “Fly Eagles Fly” louder after winning back-to-back matches. With the 7-1 record and top spot in the NFC East, they are the only team this season to embrace just one loss till Week 8.

Hurts innovative “tush push” strategy and obviously his unique combination with the elite wide receiver A. J. Brown is only lifting up the Eagles squad. However, the quarterback has also been rumored to have gone through a blow due to his injury, and he clearly didn’t like a recent query regarding it.

Jalen Hurts Abruptly Ends Press Conference

Hurts was officially listed on the Eagles’ injury report, albeit reports were suggesting he might be dealing with a bone bruise in his knee. He was snapped wearing a brace in the second half of the match against the Miami Dolphins.

The QB has been unwilling to discuss his injury, but a reporter asked him about it at Wednesday’s press conference.

“I gotta ask, anything new with the knee. Feeling better? Feeling worse? Different? Anything?” the reporter asked, per New York Post.

The 25-year-old smirked and tapped the table two times before abruptly ending the conference by walking off the podium.

NFL insider Dov Kleiman earlier revealed that Hurts underwent an hour-long treatment on his injured knee following Philly’s recent victory over the Washington Commanders. Following the treatment on Sunday, he said he wouldn’t like to speak about that injury, and hence, the cold outrage was usual.

Following the Eagles’ match against the Dolphins, the team’s head coach Nick Sirianni also said their signal-caller wouldn’t discuss every detail of the injury and that he “wants it on him.”

Hurts earns NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors

The Washington Commanders started the Week 8 contest with a 7-0 lead and stretched it to 24-17 after a while. Being the most important player in the squad, Hurts didn’t stand still as he showcased a phenomenal comeback performance by throwing for 319 yards and four touchdowns to secure the 38-31 win.

The seven-point win was heavy enough to earn him the title of the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Besides that, his 135.7 passer rating in the contest was a season-high as well as the four TDs tied for a career-high. The Philly head coach Nick Sirianni also gushed about his outstanding athleticism and unique leadership quality.

“Man, he played really well. He played really good, and we all saw that. Tough, leader, can beat you a lot of different ways, and he beat the team with his arm.”
