Liverpool turned down lucrative bid for Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah has been one of Liverpool’s most prolific forwards, scoring 196 goals in 318 games for the club since joining from Roma in 2017. This has made him perhaps the most important player in Liverpool today after the club already parted ways with the two other players he formed a good partnership with on the field, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino.
Liverpool were tempted by a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad in the last transfer window but held on tightly to Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp turned down an initial $189 million offer from the Saudi club before rejecting another staggering $252 million offer for the Egyptian.
This proved to be a great move by Liverpool as Salah has scored 10 goals in 13 games for the Reds in all competitions this season. He also recently broke a 17-year-old record set by Thierry Henry in Europe as the Reds thrashed Toulouse 5-1 in the Europa League fixture last week.
