Who is Texas A&M defensive lineman, Shemar Turner, ejected for WWE-esque maneuver on Ole Miss player?

The football world has always showcased intense battles on the field. The competition sometimes becomes so acute that players even get involved in heavy brawls. Every year, the NFL charges fines to a large number of athletes due to their altercations on the field.

The ugly fights are not limited to the professional football field. Many young stars who have bright futures to be top draft prospects in the NFL often hit headlines for getting embroiled in brawls, and Texas A&M star Shemar Turner is the latest one to get enrolled in the infamous list.

Shemar Turner gets ejected for a low blow

In the Texas A&M Aggies vs. Ole Miss Rebels matchup, the Rebels initially had a 14-0 lead. However, the Aggies made a comeback in the second and third quarters, turning the tide. The on-field battle intensified rapidly, and cameras caught Ole Miss offensive lineman Micah Pettus in a scuffle with Turner, who plays as a defensive lineman for the Aggies, via USA Today.

Turner was underneath Pettus following a play, and just after a moment, the OL stood to his feet with the Texas A&M star’s head between his legs. Shemar retaliated by delivering a brutal uppercut to the groin of Pettus, and the activity slapped him with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty as well as an ejection from the match.

Just days ago, Louisiana Tech’s star linebacker Brevin Randle got suspended by the NCAA for misconduct during the match between the UTEP Miners and LA Tech. He stepped on the neck of Miners offensive lineman Steven Hubbard, which outraged the whole football community.

Things went sour for Shemar’s team later on

The ejection was not the only blow Turner sustained in the match, as his team also had to digest a 35-38 loss from the Rebels team. With the loss, Texas A&M fell to 5-4 overall, and it marked their ninth consecutive road defeat.

The Aggies were leading in the match at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. In the fourth quarter, they had a 35-31 advantage. However, the Ole Miss squad secured the go-ahead score with nearly one minute left on a one-yard run by running back Quinshon Judkins.

No. 10 Ole Miss recorded 518 total yards, 387 passing yards, and 131 rushing yards while averaging 7.8 per yard. Meanwhile, Turner’s team scored 457 total yards, 305 passing yards, and 152 rushing yards while averaging 5.9 per yard.
