The game saw the Spurs squander a 22-point lead and ultimately fall in overtime, and Wembanyama shared his insights on the collapse.
Wembanyama shared his thoughts on the tough loss, echoing his coach Gregg Popovich’s emphasis on playing a full 48 minutes with the best commitment in the NBA.
He said, “All I can say is it’s important to play for a whole 48 minutes. Even relaxing for a couple of seconds is too much.” He pointed out that even a momentary lapse in concentration can prove costly in a league with highly skilled and explosive offenses.
