The Detroit Lions are set to play against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in the week 1 match next month after facing off against the New York Giants in a preseason game at home on August 11. Excitement is high and the Lions team is constantly trying to adjust their roster, with the latest development coming from signing veteran Teddy Bridgewater after hosting him during training camp.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys bid adieu to Tristan Vizcaino whom they brought following Brett Maher’s inconsistency in the postseason. He was in fierce competition with Brandon Aubrey to secure the starting position of the Cowboys in the upcoming season, but it remained unfulfilled.

He later had short stints with the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins in 2020, 2021, and 2022 respectively.
Following Teddy‘s visit to Allen Park in July, Detroit’s head coach Dan Campbell hinted at his potential contract with the franchise saying a veteran like the 2014 first-round draft pick can bring competition to his squad.

According to the star-telegram’s Clarence Hill Jr., both Vizcaino and Aubrey showcased “horrible” performances on August 5, albeit the Cowboys decided to cut the former one from their 90-man roster, leaving the 28-year-old Aubrey as the team’s only option at kicker for now.
