In F1, engineering expertise is the foundation of success. The collaboration between the engineers and the rest of the team, along with their innovation and technical prowess, is what makes Formula One one of the most demanding motorsports in the world.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie, the car with a total output of 1,140 horsepower, was developed by the brilliant team engineer, Adrian Newey. Recently, reports have surfaced that this incredible car was spotted near the Red Bull team boss’s garage.
Aston Martin Valkyrie lands in Christian Horner’s garage
Newey was on the verge of leaving the team, given that Red Bull’s performance had declined when F1 changed regulations and entered the hybrid era. Mercedes became the dominant team from 2014 to 2022 and Newey contemplated departing due to Red Bull’s poor performance throughout the years.
However, Horner halted his departure by offering to let Newey create a road car at Red Bull. At the time, Aston Martin was the title sponsor of the F1 team, so Horner approached the automaker’s CEO, Andy Palmer, with a compelling proposal.
The plan proved successful and Newey remained with Red Bull. Aston Martin and Red Bull originally unveiled the Valkyrie in 2016 under the name AM-RB 001. The companies announced the car’s official name in 2017. Production finally began in 2021.
However, according to an anonymous post on Reddit, Aston Martin Valkyrie was seen outside the team boss’s garage, with no definite reason surrounding it.
Verstappen got busted for speeding before Dutch GP
Max Verstappen faces legal action after a video of the Red Bull driver racing through the streets of Monaco went viral. The footage was captured by his close friend, Mark Cox. The viral recording captured Verstappen driving in the Aston Martin Valkyrie on the Nice Nord motorway at a speed of 124 km/h.
In Europe, exceeding the speed limit of 90 km/h is not allowed. The speed is common for the Dutchman to drive on Formula One tracks; however, on normal motorways, it is considered very dangerous. As a public figure, Verstappen is supposed to promote road safety measures; however, he has done quite the opposite. Hence, the Monaco authorities have decided to take the matter into their own hands. Verstappen has yet to justify his behavior in his home country.
