Ferrari unveils striking new suits for Leclerc and Sainz
Teams often unveil new outfits or liveries for some special occasion and it’s Ferrari’s turn this time around in the Las Vegas GP. The Maranello team has decided to spice up the style of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz by making changes to their race suits. Ferrari had been sporting a red outfit with black accents, matching their scarlet car. Although this time around, Ferrari has decided to make their outfits even more classy by giving them white accents that pop out against the bright red overalls.
This is a subtle move on Ferrari’s end, which is a dig at their rivals, Mercedes, who are all black. Ferrari and Mercedes are sharing a tough battle for P2, so when they entered Vegas, Ferrari thought, Why not take advantage of the city’s charm and place its bets on the contrasting colors? Vegas is famous for gambling and entertainment and it looks like even the great Red team couldn’t hold back from its allure and entered the fray against their rivals.
Leclerc eyes religious blessings after a season of misfortune
Charles Leclerc definitely didn’t have the spectacular season he would have wished for after the near miss at world champion last year. Instead, he was greeted with drama and commotion as the Ferrari lost it’s edge against Red Bull, getting beat regularly and leaving Charles stranded.
Ever since the first, Charles Leclerc has gone through a string of failures and bad luck, which rendered him unable to replicate or even come close to his performance last year. Even Sunday was a huge disappointment for the Monaco driver who qualified on the front row, yet he couldn’t even start his race. His SF23 underwent a hydraulic failure and he crashed out during the formation lap. “Why am I so unlucky..”, said heartbroken Charles, which made everyone feel his pain.
Charles’s one statement pretty much sums up his entire career and his luck with Ferrari, especially in Monaco, his home race. The situation that he is going through has made the Ferrari driver ponder seeking divine blessings and he told Sky Sports in an interview, “I might need a trip, Lourdes.” Lourdes is a pilgrimage site in France and it has been famous ever since 1858 as a Marian shrine. Lourdes gets its holy significance due to the fact that a 14-year-old girl, Bernadette Soubrious, was visited by the Virgin Mary, making the town a revered place.
