Manchester United are in the middle of a rebuild that started last season under manager Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman brought in Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, and Christian Eriksen in his first transfer window. This paid off, as the team won the EFL Cup and finished third in the Premier League, behind City and Arsenal.
His second summer transfer window has been a whole lot busier than his first, with the arrival of three new players to strengthen the squad. United have also been actively getting rid of fringe players, and it may be a hectic week for the club as they look to offload more players.
West Ham to swoop for United duo Maguire, McTominay
Manchester United look set to continue a clearout at the club as they are ready to offload Harry Maguire and Scot McTominay to West Ham after the former had been stripped of club captaincy and the latter not getting anywhere the Ten Hag’s first selection. West Ham have more than enough money to spend following the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal for a British record fee of £105 million.
Harry Maguire became the club’s fifth-choice center-back last season following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez, who immediately formed a solid partnership with Raphael Varane. Even without enough center-backs, Luke Shaw played in the position ahead of Harry Maguire, spelling the manager’s lack of confidence in the England international’s ability.

The former Leicester City defender was stripped of club captaincy two weeks ago, with the role now given to Bruno Fernandes. Maguire has been advised to leave the club to build his career elsewhere, with West Ham now providing an escape route for him.
Scot McTominay has also appeared to be a target for the London club to replace Declan Rice. David Moyes reportedly sought the opinion of Sir Alex Ferguson, who gave a good assessment of the Scotsman. According to Fabrizio Romano, United rejected a £30 million bid for the academy graduate. West Ham are reportedly ready to offer United £60 million for Maguire and McTominay.

United to continue clear-out with Fred, Van de Beek
United may part ways with two other players before the end of the transfer window, with clubs keen on signing Fred and Donny Van de Beek. Van de Beek is attracting interest from Real Sociedad, with the Spanish club willing to take him on loan with an option to buy.
Fred is drawing interest from Saudi, England, and Turkey clubs, with Fulham and Galatasaray keen on the Brazilian midfielder. Should United sell three midfielders this summer, the club will bring Amrabat from Fiorentina to fill the hole.
