The Messi-Ronaldo debate is agelong. There has always been a loggerhead between Ronaldo and Messi fans regarding who the better player is. While some try to compare their individual accolades, others look at their team achievements. However, whichever way anyone looks into this debate, one player is already staying clear of the other, following his recent achievements.
The GOAT status is not attained overnight. Both players have long years of excellence and consistency to prove that. Messi, one of the newest Inter Miami star recruits, currently holds the most Guinness World Records by a football player.
Guinness World Records confirm Messi’s lead with 41 titles.
Messi and Ronaldo are at it again! First, it was club achievements, then goals and Golden Boot records (who has more goals?). Later on, there were Ballon d’Or records, to International trophies. The debate of who might be the better player continues to break new ground between the Inter Miami and Al-Nassr captains.
This debate has gone on for decades, which alone is a testament to the excellence and consistency of both players.
36-year-old Messi moved to Inter Miami this summer after he conquered. And over there, he is still killing it!
Cristiano Ronaldo also made a world-record move to Al-Nassr when he was done with Europe and Manchester United at 37. Between these two phenomenal players of our generation are 12 Ballon d’Or titles, an award that honours the best performing male footballer of a particular football/soccer year.
It has been a healthy competition between the players over the years, but that may not be said about their fans; they are arch-rivals. After Messi won his 7th Ballon d’Or and Ronaldo still had five. Ronaldo fans claimed that in the 2022 World Cup, their GOAT would be singled out as the Greatest Of All Time.
Lionel Messi, however, went on to prevail triumphant in the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, but Ronaldo fans would not stop.
Guinness World Record posted on their Twitter account, “For now, Messi is clear of Ronaldo.”
They added that Lionel Messi has 41 Guinness World Records while Cristiano Ronaldo, trailing, has 40. Next on this list is Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, with only 9; it is such a wide gap.

Inter Miami looking for their fifth win
The Messi effect on Inter Miami has been outstanding since joining the MLS; he’s made and shattered records. Messi has set records both on soccer brilliance and the commercial outlook of the club.
From July 17 to July 20, Inter Miami was Fanatics’ top-selling team across all sports. “That is unheard of for an MLS team,” said a source from Fanatics. The day following the Messi news, Inter Miami merchandise sales spiked 50 times the previous pre-Messi day.
Leonel Messi’s Inter Miami has been brilliant since Messi joined. The MLS side has played four matches, winning 3 out of 4, with one draw. Since Messi’s debut against Cruz Azul, he has scored seven goals and assisted 1 for the club.
When Messi joined Inter Miami, they were a sinking ship. The 36-year-old Ballon d’Or winner has a great responsibility to take his team to the Playoffs as he looks to have their fifth win for the Inter Miami.
